Viplavachentharakam - Podcast Originals

ROLE - Sound Designer

Viplavachentharakam is the first Malayalam podcast original series, portraying the life story of EMS, who paved the revolutionary path to uplift the people of Kerala. Despite not having any political inclination, this project has significantly inspired my life. I attempted to capture the life of EMS through an audio experience enhanced by sound effects. You can listen to this podcast series on Gaana by clicking this link.

Padiyath Jewellery - TV Commercial

ROLE - Concept, Edit, Direction

This TV commercial is important to me because the client had an unusual request. They didn't want to show women in the ad for their jewelry store, which is located in a traditional Muslim area. Most jewellery ads in Kerala feature women, so coming up with a different idea was a creative challenge. I decided to connect the jewelry with nature and different seasons. The client liked the idea, and we made the commercial using tabletop sets. The client was really happy with how it turned out.

Urban Canopy - Documentary Film

ROLE - Edit and Animation

This documentary, shot over nearly two years and released in 2019, was created to emphasize the importance of preserving this precious natural habitat. I spent nearly six months editing this video to raise awareness and protect the biodiversity-rich urban forest of HMT Kalamassery. I'm so happy that it's preserved now, acting as a breathing heart and an oxygen producer for the city of Kochi.

This video was awarded the Grand Prize in IBM's 2008 Energy & Environment Video Contest. It serves as a powerful reminder for people to safeguard our environment. The central character in the film represents the need for more defenders of nature.

Kerala is renowned for its football fans. During the World Cup, the entire state of Kerala was filled with fans supporting different teams, creating posters and banners. When the World Cup ended, there was collective sadness, but all the fans united in their support for their own team, Kerala Blasters, during the La Liga tournament. This is a fan-made video showcasing the enthusiasm of these fans for Kerala Blasters.

Pawan Chakki Fresh Atta - TV Commercial

ROLE - Concept, Direction

Pawan Chakki Fresh Atta is renowned for its softness, and it's because it's sourced from premium golden wheat. In line with the softness theme, the entire advertisement is filled with a golden hue that resonates with the essence of golden wheat. The ad was filmed using an ARRI 35 MM Camera.

Saaral - Music Video

ROLE - Direction

My college produced a music album titled 'Saaral,' and he approached me to create visuals on a tight budget and schedule. We chose the beach as our location because the sky and sea always provide a free and open canvas for creativity :) We managed to complete the shoot in just three hours. When the song was released on SS Music, it garnered a lot of attention. This song is sung by the renowned singer Benny Dayal.

Environmental Song - Music Video

ROLE - Edit, Direction

This song is a dedication to mothers, set against the backdrop of Nature on Environment Day.  Written and composed by Jayalekshmi, who is a music teacher at my son's school. We filmed this with the school as our backdrop, including all the students of the teacher.

Om Namah Shivaya - Music Video

ROLE - Edit, Direction

This video is inspired by the term 'Panchakshara,' which translates to 'five letters' in Sanskrit. It specifically refers to the five sacred letters: 'Na,' 'Ma,' 'Si,' 'Va,' and 'Ya.' These letters form a prayer to Lord Shiva and are closely associated with Shiva's mantra 'Om Namah Shivaya.' In fact, 'Namah Shivaya' is often referred to as the Panchakshari Mantra.

Candle of Hope - Short video

ROLE - Edit, Direction

This video centers around the theme of hope. It portrays the challenges faced by children during the pandemic when they were confined to their homes and unable to attend school. The story follows Priyvi, a child who longs to return to school, and how Santa Claus steps in to make his wish come true. This video was created in response to a request from my son's school.

Neeyen - Cover song

ROLE - Edit, Direction

Reimagining of the song 'Enguninnu Vanna' from the movie 'Calcutta News.' I created this video in response to a request from Sudheesh and Devki, a musical couple who run MusikShikshan, a music academy. The video is set against the scenic backdrop of Kochi, featuring the evening mood of Kochi's backwaters and its shimmering lights.

Single shot Onam song

ROLE - Concept, Edit, Direction

There's a story behind this video. In 2018, Kerala was hit by a devastating flood, with heavy rain starting on August 14th. We had planned to shoot this on August 15th with a crew of around 60 members. However, in the morning, many of our crew members started receiving calls from their homes because water had begun to flood in. So, we made the decision to wrap up the shoot quickly and ended up capturing the entire video in a single continuous shot. It took us four tries, but we finally succeeded in getting a clean shot.

Mr.Techno - Short video

ROLE - Concept, Edit, Direction

This is one of my first works created at the beginning of my career. I was employed at a company called Sherston in Technopark, where an annual video contest was held, challenging participants to create a humorous video about our workplace. That's how this video came into existence. I immensely enjoyed the creative process of making this video. When it was showcased on the big screen during the event, it was a joy to hear fellow techies in the audience watching and laughing heartily, recognizing their daily work lives on such a grand scale. It felt like I had successfully captured the essence of fun in this video.
