Wipedout - Campaign

YEAR

2018

In 2018, I started a campaign in my city of Kochi to raise awareness about a looming disaster caused by waste mismanagement. I documented the issue and made a documenary called "Wiped Out." The problem centred on Brahmapuram, a nearby village where waste was being dumped in huge piles. This was dangerous because if those piles caught fire, it would be a disaster.

In March 2023, the disaster we feared happened – the plastic piles in Brahmapuram caught fire and caused significant damage. But this disaster made people realize how serious the problem was. My film "Wiped Out" helped them understand the issue and start talking about it.

Engaging Communities

After the Brahmapuram fire, people are demanding environmental action. We can't wait; we must protect our environment. I used filmmaking and design to raise awareness, believing that awareness sparks change. Together, we can prevent more village disasters and create a cleaner, brighter future.
