'Cubicled' is a short film about the millions of IT employees who gets cubicled inside the tiny cubicles of multi national companies and has no life outside work. In the light of the Karnataka government's proposal to increase working hours to 14, this short film holds precedence. From the outsider's eyes, this job is a high paying, glamorous job where you spend time in air conditioned sky scrapers and earn easy money. Is this the reality? This film breaks the myth about IT industry.
In the frantic race to meet deadlines, many professionals suffer extreme stress and it takes a toll on their physical and mental well-being. This is being depicted in this short film which won the best short film award in the All Kerala IT fest - Tarang 2024. The film won this title competing with more than 30 other short films, and was also selected by many noted short film festivals. Another interesting fact is that the complete cast and crew of this film are IT employees.
